The traffic on only major Highway link between Kashmir and Rest of India has been disrupted once again due to light rainfall in the hills yesterday. The highway from Nashri to Ramban is most fragile stretch of the National highway.
Even during the Lockdown Period when only essential goods traffic is allowed on Jammu SriNagar National Highway, there have been frequent disruptions on the highway between Nashri and Ramban, one shudders to think what will happen once normal traffic is restored on the Highway.
The National Highway between Nashri and Ramban is more like a single road which is completely damaged and less like a National Highway. The work on this stretch is moving at snails pace and general public is bearing the brunt.
One can only hope that things move faster and this stretch of the Highway is repaired and construction is fast paced to relieve the people of daily hassles.
